Château Montrose.

Long before becoming its custodians, we had already been deeply moved by its
wines. Since then, our ambition has remained unchanged: to preserve the
identity of this exceptional terroir and faithfully carry its legacy forward.

To mark this anniversary, we have brought together some vintages ending in “6”,
emblematic milestones in the estate’s history.

Through them, Montrose reveals the connection between the
generations that have shaped its story, the values they have passed on
and the imprint of its land, at the origin of its unmistakable style. »

As our understanding of the vine deepens, one conviction endures. A great wine draws its character first and foremost from its terroir.

Here, everything begins on the Mont Rose, the hill once covered in heather that overlooks the Gironde estuary.

1986 is a remarkable expression of this terroir. A wine of distinction and expression, with great depth and energy, revealing the nobility of cabernet sauvignon and the singular character of the land from which Montrose was born.
